Andrew was born in Taiwan and raised in Coquitlam. At a very young
age, he was exposed to the benefits of Chinese medicine by observing
his father in practice. The understanding of the value to help
patients of all ages restore their health through natural methods
was deeply rooted. Andrew has a strong passion in health and fitness
and often incorporates this knowledge into his treatments with his
patients.
Andrew completed the 4-year Chinese medicine
practitioner program at PCU College of Holistic Medicine under the
guidance of very talented doctors from China. He is now a good
standing member with the
College of Traditional Chinese MedicinePractitioners &
Acupuncturists of British Columbia (CTCMA)
Chinese Medicine Ophthalmology: A modern system
which addresses some serious eye conditions including: Macular
Degeneration(AMD), Retinitis Pigmentosa, Glaucoma, Stargardt’s,
glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and dry eyes. Currently, Andrew is
one of the few practitioners in Canada trained using these specific
methods.
Micro-Acupuncture: A system
developed in Denmark and later refined that is completely different
from traditional methods. It has are generative effect in the eyes
to restore proper blood flow to help with degenerative eye
conditions mentioned above.
Scalp Acupuncture: A hybrid system that combines traditional acupuncture with modern
neurology. Scalp acupuncture is the most effective for conditions
affecting the Central Nervous System (CNS) such as stroke, multiple
sclerosis and fibromyalgia.
Functional Pulse Diagnosis: An interpretation of blood flow in the radial artery on the wrist
to reveal physiological systemic conditions such as anxiety,
fatigue, depression, arthritis, sinus infections, digestive
problems, menstrual problems and etc.
Balance Method: a system that uses ‘distal points’, acupuncture points that is not
directly on the pain spot of the body. The system helps to restore
proper blood circulation in the diseased area through neuro-signals
via the midbrain.
Motor Point Acupuncture: an anatomical based system of acupuncture that is highly effective
for musculoskeletal conditions by removing mechanical inhibitions
through specific motor points on the body.
Dry Needling: an anatomical based system of acupuncture that helps release
trigger points on the muscle tissue that cause pain and tension.
